LEAVE IT AT THE CROSS

Over the years people have taken their negative experiences with the WCC and decided to 'leave them at the cross.' While this is indeed a healthy course of action, it should not be used to absolve one of their responsibility to speak out against that which is wrong.

Perhaps if more former attendees had spoken out about the abuses they saw and the things that they felt weren't in line with a loving Christian community, the number of people who have been damaged by the actions of the WCC would have been far less.

It might also be argued that the Wirral Christian Centre itself may have actually been able to make a real impact on the community which it has sadly barely touched in its entire history.

Of course, there is a cost to speaking up, God has called us to live boldly, in courage and fidelity. Don't be a bystander when you see something wrong. Stand in your faith, have courage and speak out. Anything else is surely cowardice?
